Carly and Graeme: the band
Carly Blain (fiddle) and Graeme Armstrong (guitar and song) mix fast and energetic tunes with traditional and contemporary Scottish songs. Having grown up around the traditions of the Scottish Borders their set features much of the music they heard and played growing up. Both graduates of the Folk and Traditional Music Degree from Newcastle University, and having spent years touring in respective bands around the world (Monster Ceilidh Band, The Rachel Hamer Band, Reel time, Ideoms Theatre), they are excited to be back playing together as Carly and Graeme. Their powerful and exciting set, mixing traditional and original tunes and songs, provides a captivating performance.

Carly and Graeme: ceilidhs and weddings
Brought up with ceilidh dancing and having played with great bands such as Kilter and Hector's Heroes, Carly and Graeme love playing for ceilidhs. Their infectious enthusiasm and huge repertoire of terrific dancing tunes, together with their experienced ceilidh dance caller, will get everyone on the floor and having a good time.
Live music creates a great atmosphere at a wedding. As well as leading your wedding evening ceilidh, Carly and Graeme can also play lovely relaxed background music for your reception or during the service.
